High quality photoluminescent (glow-in-the dark) slip resistant renovation stair nosing that meets the requirements of NYC Local Law 26, current NYC building and fire codes, current IBC & IFC model codes and all local building & fire codes across the United States. These nosings are used for exit path markings, steps and leading edge of landings when finding pathways in the dark is a necessity. The use of a heat treated corrosion resistant aluminum substrate with a slip resistant aluminum oxide surface assures long tread life under heavy pedestrian traffic. These safety surfaces have easy maintenance features and ensure the greatest protection from falls and injuries.

Type of Anchor shall be specified.
Compliant with all requirements of New York City local law 26 (2004) RS 6-1 and RS 6-1A, viz., flammability (ASTM D635-2003), toxicity (SMP 800C), washability (ASTM 4828-1994), radioactivity (ASTM D 3684-2004) and brightness (ISO 17398-2004).
Meets or exceeds current NYC building and fire codes.
Meets or exceeds current IBC & IFC (model) codes, and all current local building and fire codes across the US.
Meets or exceeds NFPA 101 (2012 edition) and all current editions of NFPA 101 - Life Safety Code.
Meets or exceeds the luminance requirements of ASTM E2072 and E2073.
Meets or exceeds the luminance requirements of UL1994 and UL S572 (Canada).
Nosing base shall be type 6063-T5 extruded aluminum.
Photoluminescent front groove to be filled with 16% minimum resilient type epoxy filler for improved clean ability.
Photoluminescent epoxy filler (free of hazardous and radioactive substances) shall extend uniformly throughout the filler.
Nosings shall terminate not more than 2" from ends of steps.
Coefficient of friction (slip resistance) meets or exceeds OSHA standard 1910.22, ASTM standards and military specifications.
Smooth photoluminescent glow area with excellent cleanability. Highest possible score of 10 on the soil expansion index (ASTM D4829) test.
